On the initiative of Nursultan Nazarbayev during the first Kazakhs World Congress held on September 29, 1992 in Almaty, was founded the World Association of Kazakhs (WAC).
The main aim of WAC is the establish contacts with the Kazakh diaspora abroad and promote cultural and educational projects. Also WAC holds actions for social workers and immigrants who have moved to their historical homeland. The Association works closely with the Kazakh cultural centres abroad and implements joint programmes.
On the initiative of the President of the Karaganda branch of the World Association of Kazakhs Meruesh Bashajkyzy in the First President Historical and Cultural Center on January 23, 2019 presentation the book True of the writer, public figure, Director of JSC Tarikhi Atazhurt Uzben Kurmanbayuly.
The event was attended by members of the WAC, historians, scientists, teachers, KarGIU students, Temirtau residents, guests of Astana.
After the presentation a number of Temirtau residents joined the Association, which raises the momentous problems. Among them was the head of the research and exhibition department of the Centre Daurbek Ketebayev.
The President of the Karaganda branch of WAC Meruesh Bashajkyzy presented the book to the First President Historical and Cultural Center.
