Nevada-Semey. 32/A brief historical video review
32 years ago, on February 28, 1989, the International Anti-Nuclear Movement “Nevada-Semipalatinsk”was formed in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan was the first to take a real step towards universal nuclear disarmament: it closed the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site – the fourth nuclear potential in the world in terms of its destructive power. The program of the movement “Nevada – Semipalatinsk”, later “Nevada-Semey”, resulted in the program of the international anti-nuclear alliance.
The short video review demonstrates the history of the creation of the Nevada-Semey movement and reveals its activities. The video review is dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the formation of the movement “Nevada-Semipalatinsk” (“Nevada-Semey”) and the 30th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.
