The First President Historical and Cultural Center hosted a festival of ethno-cultural centers in Temirtau, dedicated to the Day of Gratitude, organized in conjunction with the mayor of Temirtau.
The purpose of the event is to explain to young people the meaning of the holiday, to cultivate humanity, to preserve social harmony and inter-ethnic harmony.
The festival was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Temirtau Kuttybai Miras, who congratulated the gathered on the holiday. D.I. Kasapidi, a member of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, recalled in her speech how her parents, who lived in the Krasnodar region and many more Greeks, were evicted from their homes for 24 hours and sent to Kazakhstan. The event was opened by a dramatization prepared by the students of the 4th High School. Ethno-cultural centers told about the history of resettlement of representatives of different nationalities in Kazakhstan, about inter-ethnic understanding and harmony.
In addition, representatives of the Council of Veterans, the Council of Aksakals of Temirtau, participants of ethno-cultural centers at ArcelorMittal Temirtau, college students and students of Temirtau schools took part in the festival.
At the end of the festival, the head of the First President Historical and Cultural Center S. Sargizova handed the active participants letters of thanks.
