Employees of the First President Historic and Cultural Center on October, 1 hold a quiz-tour My Favorite Town dedicated to the 74th anniversary of Temirtau.
The main purpose of the event is to introduce young people, residents of the town to the history of their hometown, to tell about the way of its formation, about the creation of Magnitka, using an old photographic record.
Using historical photographs, the residents of the town will be shown how Temirtau, which occupies an important place in the country’s economy, was formed, and how a giant Kazakhstan Magnitka was built thanks to the efforts of hundreds of thousands of people.
The center’s staff will walk through the central streets of Temirtau, asking residents quiz questions, telling about the history of those buildings that illustrate yesterday’s history of the town.
The tour route runs along the avenues of the Republic, Metallurgists, Mira Boulevard and the First President’s Park. During the event, residents of the town, who were active, will be presented with tickets, allow to get to know the exhibition halls of the First President Historic and Cultural Center for free.
