On January 17, 2020, employees of the First President Historical and Cultural Center D.B. Ketebayev and V.V. Kutlueva took part in a seminar dedicated to the article of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokaev “Abay and Kazakhstan in the 21st Century” to the 175th anniversary of the birth the great Kazakh poet AbayKunanbayev, held in the Central Library of Temirtau.
The event was also attended by employees of the education system, representatives of the creative association Magnit, veterans of pedagogical work. During the event, the key points of the article of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed, such as preserving the national identity and adapting it to modern requirements, the status and development of the homeland of AbayKunanbayev and Mukhtar Auezov the region of Semey, development of a special program for in-depth study of AbayKunanbayev’s work. Also one of the main topics for discussion was the teaching of the work of the great poet and philosopher in general education schools, adaptation of his rich heritage to the rigid framework of the school curriculum. At the end of the seminar, letters of thankswere presented.
