Every language has its own history, own fate connected with destinies of other languages. With help of language people learn to understand spiritual culture, customs and rituals of other peoples. The Day of Languages is the fest which celebrate in Kazakhstan every year. Originally it was timed to the law “About Languages” 30 years ago. In 1989 Kazakh Republic wasn’t sovereign. It named Kazakh SSR. Aforementioned the law “About Languages” proclaimed importance of knowing of native language.
Unity of languages and cultures is the power of sovereign republic, monolith for building of happy future. Language politic and its realization in the country depends from human culture of every person and friendship of peoples.
Language is well-being of people, it contributes of unity and rallying of the nations. The Day of the languages is sign of friendship, kinship and unity of the all citizens of the country. Friendship of peoples, understanding and collaboration are the mainstay of the building of new Kazakhstan. Every citizen of our Republic has right to use the native language also the free choice of communication, upbringing, education and creation language.
Primarily the Day of Languages was celebrating in every third Sunday of September. But in 2019 the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev made decision to establish the Day of Languages date on September, 5. Because in this day was born Kazakh scientist, great linguist Ahmed Baitursynov.
World of Languages – this is the name of the exhibition, dedicated to the Day of Languages. The exhibition presented portraits of Kazakh writers, poets and great educators. The exhibition added rare antique editions of XIX – beginning of the XX century.
