Factory Symphony
Exhibition of the Karaganda Regional Museum of Fine Arts, dedicated to the Day of the First President
From November 26 to December 22 in the Historical and Cultural Center of the First President there is an exhibition “Factory Symphony” dedicated to the First President’s Day.
The exhibition presents works of easel painting and printed graphics, created by a galaxy of artists, who at present, perhaps, can be called classics of Kazakhstani socialist realism. Among them are such well-known names as Petr Antonenko, Sarkis Sanosyan, Viktor Krylov, Andrey Dyachkin. The works of Mikhail Podlesnykh, who lived and worked in the town of Temirtau, are of great interest. The exhibition was named after one of his works.
The theme of the exhibition is characteristic of the art movement “socialist realism”. The works reflect the main stages of the industrial development of our republic: the construction of the largest industrial facilities in Temirtau, majestic panoramas of coal pits and mines, metallurgical plants, and the largest industrial enterprises. The exhibition also includes portraits. In this regard, the portrait of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev, made by T.A.Kenesbaev, a famous Karaganda artist, is of particular interest.
The professional path of N.A.Nazarbayev is inextricably linked with the formation of the Kazakhstan Magnitka. Therefore, the chamber portrait, in which the First President is depicted against a calm neutral background, rightfully crowns the exposition and serves as one of the key components of the exhibition.
