«The Harrison and Sons» company
Samples of the first Kazakh banknotes, created in 1991-1993, and printed by Harrison and Sons, are currently stored in one of the largest museums in the world – the British Museum, which is located in Bloomsbury, London.
The Harrison and Sons company, which printed engravings and banknotes, was the largest one in the world in its time. It was founded in 1750 by Thomas Harrison in London on Warwick Lane. In 1839, Thomas Harrison entered into partnership with John William Parker, thus creating Harrison & Co. From 1854 the company was called Harrison & Sons, later Harrison & Sons Limited, and it existed under this name until 1997. In 1997, Harrison & Sons Limited was bought by a rival firm De La Rue.
