Investment coin 1 tenge «Silver Leopard»
A series of investment coins “Silver Leopard” were issued into circulation by the Kazakhstan Mint on November 21, 2009. On the obverse of the coin, in the central part, the coat of arms of the Republic of Kazakhstan is depicted, framed by a national ornament. At the bottom there is the inscription “1 TEҢGE”, indicating the corresponding denomination of the coin. Along the circumference there is the inscription “KAZAKSTAN ULTTYK BANKY” in the state language and “NATIONAL BANK OF KAZAKHSTAN” in English.
On the reverse of the coin there is an image of a snow leopard in the central part. To the left of the image is the number “2009”, indicating the year of minting. In the upper sector along the circumference in two lines there is the inscription “KUMIS BARYS” in the state language and “SILVER IRBIS” in English, in the right – along the circumference there is the inscription “Ag 999.9 1oz. The images and inscriptions on the front and back of the coins are in relief. The weight of the coin is 31.1 g.
