Abai’s Legacy
On February 14, in the First President Historic and Cultural Center was held the seminar to discuss the article Abai and Kazakhstan in the 21st Century by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev.
The purpose of the event is to involve young people in the spiritual heritage of the great thinker Abay Kunanbayev, to foster patriotism.
The event was attended by members of the Temirtau Aksakal Council, the Council of Veterans, staff of the Temirtau Language Development Centre, the deputies for educational work of schools in Temirtau, teachers, students of Miras College.
During the seminar, the research fellow of the Historical and Cultural Center of the First President K. Mambetov and Methodist of Temirtau Urban Center for Language Development B. Medetova spoke on the theme Abai’s Legacy. Participants exchanged views on the educational significance of the Article of the Head of State Abai and Kazakhstan in the 21st Century, read excerpts from Abai’s poems, performed his songs. In the end, the deputy head of the Historic and Cultural Center of the First President G. Kudarinova presented the active participants of the event the letters of thanks.
