Bas-relief «History of Kazakhstan»

A bas-relief “History of Kazakhstan” reflects the main events, associations and eras: the Stone Age with rock paintings of ancient people; saki (tribes); the struggle for Kazakh statehood, the autonomy of Alash-Orda (1917-1920) led by Alikhan Bukeikhanov, Mustafa Shokai, Akhmet Baitursynov and other representatives of the Kazakh intelligentsia (the literate);period of industrialization, the Great Patriotic War 1942-1945, youth protests in Almaty (December 1986), period of Independence since 1991.

The center of the artistic composition is a fragment of the sculptural ensemble “Kazakh Eli”, symbolizing the desire of Kazakhstanis for further development and prosperity.

From the point of view of world history, the period of formation of our independence is just a short moment, but for a young independent state it is the time of coming of age. This is the time for Kazakhstan to sum up the first results of its formation as a competitive and powerful state with great prospects in the present and future.
